Cala San Vicente is traditionally a fishing village where it has retained it’s laid back charm. It has four beautiful coves, Cala Barques and Cala Clara, which are a little rocky and are loved by snorkelers, the fine golden sandy Cala Molins (flying the Blue Flag – the Foundation for Environmental Educa­tion’s award for quality of water, en­vironmental manage­ment, safety and services), and pebbly Cala Carbo. The crystal clear waters and fabulous underwater rock formations provide the perfect place for snorkelling and scuba-diving.
The close proximity of the Tramuntana Mountain Range, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is popular with walkers and cyclists who can enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Ornithologists can be treated with views of the endangered black vultures, falcons and nightingales. There is a hiking route from Cala San Vicente through the mountains to Port Pollenca.
Palma can be reached in about 45 minutes by car. A private international school can be found just outside of Pollenca.
